A BOOK IN A DAY
WORKSHOP WITH KARL LARSSON

In this workshop, we will collectively create an artist’s book in a single day. A Book in a Day is participant-based; every contributor provides their own material – text, photographs, or illustrations – which is then compiled into a shared publication. During the day, material is gathered, edited, and printed on-site. By the end of the session, each participant receives their own copy of the book we have created together.
A Book in a Day is part of artist Karl Larsson’s long-term project PUUT – Publicering & Utlåning, a nomadic artist’s library consisting of over 170 handmade publications. In this project, the boundaries between the audience and the artist are blurred. Everyone who participates is a co-creator of the book. The focus is on the process, the encounter, and the collective act of production.
The workshop is produced by Photobooks from Finland and is carried out in conjunction with the Photobooks: In Circulation webinar program.
