NÄYTTELYT / EXHIBITIONS
FI Festivaalin näyttelyohjelma koostuu useista ryhmänäyttelyistä, jotka levittäytyvät viiteen eri tilaan Lahdessa. Painamalla näyttelyn nimeä saat lisätietoa kyseisestä kokonaisuudesta.
Näyttelyt ovat avoinna ti–la 12–18, su 12–16. Kaikkiin näyttelyihin on vapaa pääsy.
Helatorstaina 18.5. näyttelyt ovat kiinni.

Regular opening hours for all exhibitions are Tue–Sat 12–18 and Sun 12–16. Free entry to all exhibitions.
On Thursday May 18, the exhibitions are closed.

Konepuutarhassa kokoaa yhteen erilaisten valokuvallisten prosessien kanssa toimivia taiteilijoita, joiden työskentelyssä korostuu dialoginen suhde materiaaliin.
Suomessa työskentelevien taiteilijoiden teoksista koottu näyttely kysyy, miten vakiintuneilta valokuvan tuotantorakenteilta voi paeta ja voiko tämä rajamaa toimia alustana uudelle kukoistukselle?

The exhibition poses the question – how can we break ties with established modes of photographic production and can such actions lay a groundwork that will blossom in the future?

“Pakeneminen on vallitsevien olosuhteiden kieltämistä. Hetkellisellä pakomatkalla oleva sulkee määrittelemättömän pituiseksi ajaksi silmänsä sietämättömiä olosuhteilta ... Pako voi olla myös pysyvämpi muutoksen tila, jossa luodaan työkaluja olosuhteiden muuttamiseen.”

Imagined Realities -näyttely on rakentunut osana Utopias Lahti 2023 -festivaalin pedagogista ohjelmaa kolmen lahtelaisen kuvataideoppilaitoksen kanssa.
Kokonaisuus kuljettaa kävijän keskelle muutosta. Mitä muutos on? Miltä se näyttää, maistuu tai haisee? Missä muutos näkyy? Ja ketä muutokseen kuuluu? Näyttelyssä esillä olevat teokset ovat syntyneet syanotypiatyöpajoissa kevään 2023 aikana.

IMAGINED REALITIES
GALLERY UUSI KIPINÄ
Imagined Realities exhibition has been built as a part of the Utopias Lahti 2023 festival’s pedagocial program in collaboration with three visual arts schools in Lahti.
The exhibition brings the visitor to the centre of change. What is change? How does it look, taste or smell? Where can the change be seen, and who is a part of the change? The works in the exhibition were created in cyanotype workshops during the spring of 2023.
